Wraparound Facilitator

Essential Job Functions:
· Engage youth and family in Wraparound process
· Orient and educate professionals about Wraparound process
· Maintain empathetic, yet professional, relationship with families served to maintain engagement throughout process
· Assist in development and coordination of Child and Family Teams consisting of family and professional/natural/community supports.
· Complete Strength, Need and Cultural Discovery with each client and family.
· Facilitate regular child and family team meetings in family home or community following the phases and principles of High Fidelity Wraparound.
· Assist team in developing individualized Care Plans that are culturally relevant to each family and include time-limited outcome goals
· Monitor and review Care Plans for progress
· Ensure that Care Plans, Crisis Plans, progress notes, and other documentation is completed within contract timelines
· Use the "Ten Principles of Wraparound" and the "Phases and Activities of the Wraparound Process" to guide service delivery
· Assist families and youth in identifying range of resources to meet their needs.
· Act as a role model for team members in supporting family voice and choice, and maintaining a strength-based focus
· Serve a caseload of up to 15 youth

Minimum Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Sciences or related field
· Minimum of three years experience in social services
· Strong meeting facilitation skills
· Strong written and oral communication skills
· Current Washington State Driver's license and reliable transportation for extensive South King County travel
•An understanding of, and experience with different child-serving systems, including schools, mental health, child welfare, juvenile justice, health and others
•Ability to work a flexible schedule

Preferred Facilitator Characteristics:

· Previous experience working on or with Wraparound teams
· Experience working with emotionally disturbed and behaviorally challenging children and their families
· An outgoing and collaborative personality that leads to trust and the engagement with others
•An ability to understand the point of view of others
•A sense of humor
•An ability to attend to details, to manage, and to follow-through until goals are completed
•Life experience in addition to academic learning and an academic degree
•An ability to acknowledge the differences of cultures without judgment
•A diverse and culturally competent acceptance of individuals, and what constitutes a family
•An interest in understanding and accepting people
•A willingness to be part of a team
•An ability to self-disclose appropriately, and to be able to relate to the challenges that others face
•An ability to seek coaching, supervision and clinical input when needed
