Sales Trainer

SumTotal Systems provides business performance improving products, services and solutions that help customers increase revenues, decrease expenses and reduce operational cycle time. We provide an integrated suite of business performance management applications that help customers deliver, manage and measure learning to solve specific business problems. Total University manages the training, documentation, and development for employees, customers and partners. The primary responsibilities for this position are to develop and deliver new-hire, sales-force training.

DUTIES
• Conduct, customize and analyze training for sales force
• Identify sales-training needs based upon customer and manager feedback and needs
• Conduct in-person and virtual training
• Provide coaching, mentoring and feedback to trainees
• Conduct analysis and development of sales-course materials
• Identify sales-training needs based upon customer feedback and sales results
• Develop new sales courses, workshops or virtual classes
• Support the sales cycle by providing training when requested by management.
• Work closely with Engineering and Professional Services to stay abreast of all new product developments, customizations, etc.

Skills/Requirements

• 5+ years experience in delivering sales training and technical software training and/or technical knowledge of company products
• Understanding of sales cycle and selling techniques
• Experience with solution-selling methodologies
• Knowledge of multimedia authoring, programming and scripting languages
• Ability to develop virtual classes for emerging and advanced topics quickly
• Experience in the software-application development or hardware industries strongly desired
• Excellent communication skills
• BA or BS degree preferred
