Sales Coordinator - Part Time

Celilo Group Media is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented individual with excellent customer service skills to fill the role of Sales Coordinator for Chinook Book and ecometro.com in the Seattle area. Chinook Book is a unique annual publication promoting local and sustainable businesses and healthy living in the Seattle area. Its companion website, ecometro.com, is Seattle’s premiere online source for green and local products, merchants and ideas.

The Sales Coordinator is responsible for a variety of tasks related to book production, website content development, book distribution through retail and fundraiser channels, as well as office management duties. This entry-level position offers growth potential and is an exciting opportunity to join a growing green media firm.

Main Duties:
• Support retail and fundraiser book sales by providing customer service, fulfilling orders, exhibiting at community events, doing in-store demos, and handling new account research;
• Support advertising sales outreach efforts by researching new prospects and mailing media kits;
• Coordinate collection of coupon details and approvals from merchants;
• Support the continued development of ecometro.com, including researching and updating merchant profiles, contributing content such as the weekly events calendar and some social marketing;
• Perform administrative tasks, including ordering supplies, routing phone calls, doing mailings and entering data;
• Participate as a key member of the Seattle/Puget Sound Chinook Book team in weekly sales and marketing meetings and monthly and annual strategy discussions;
• Keep up to date with current sustainability/green product trends and show knowledge and enthusiasm for promoting local and sustainable businesses;
• Sales Coordinator reports to the Seattle Market Director.

Requirements:
• Self-motivated, solution-oriented, outgoing, positive, respectful personality;
• BA or BS required;
• Experience in sales, customer service or community outreach;
• Organized and capable of managing multiple tasks;
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written;
• Comfortable developing relationships over the phone and face-to-face;
• Experience using Word and Excel and minimum 30 wpm typing;
• Experience using Salesforce or other CRM system a plus;
• Strong attention to detail;
• A basic understanding and strong interest in sustainability issues;
• Willing to work occasional evenings and weekends;
• Ability to lift 30 lb boxes of books;
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle (mileage reimbursement provided).

This is a part-time, hourly position with the potential of working up to 30 hours/week. Starting wage is $15-$16/hour.
