MANAGER OR DIRECTOR OF PROGRAMMING AND EVENTS

Contact Email:
Company/Contact:
The HUB Seattle Seattle
United States

ABOUT THE HUB SEATTLE:

HUB Seattle provides an extraordinary and inspiring space for social entrepreneurs to build companies and nonprofits that change the world. Part of that job is renting desks, offices, meeting rooms, event space, a full café, a stage, and more. The other part is building an amazing community of supportive changemakers who have convened to do great things together.

THE ROLE:

We’re looking for a Manager/Director of Programming and Events. This person will be responsible for the planning and execution of all HUB Seattle gatherings and events, including revenue and non-revenue producing events. Types of events might include talks, master classes, barcamps, hackathons, launch weekends, pitch nights, flavor fests from local restaurants, HUB Happy Hours, game nights, founder dating events, venture fund booth nights, film screenings, photography showings, and more. This person will develop an annual event plan, generate ideas, oversee development of event budgets, assist in the successful delivery of the event itself, create memorable guest experiences, and manage four direct report interns.

ABOUT YOU:

We’ll spare you the old “hard working, multi-tasker” list. Instead, here are fifteen adjectives that come to mind when we close our eyes and think of the perfect team member: Charismatic, Intelligent, Judicious, Imaginative, Creative, Relentless, Passionate, Meticulous, Outspoken, Playful, Thoughtful, Reliable, Reflective, and Accountable. If these words describe you, and you have solid experience with creating and executing events that draw tons of people, we want to talk to you. In a few cases, we’ll consider someone who doesn’t have direct experience but can prove that they’re the right fit for this job. Please connect the dots for us in the cover letter.

OUR TEAM:

As people, we’re laid back, goofy, honest, and love to have fun with each other. But, there’s no doubt about it, we’re some of the most driven, hard working, and committed people you’ll ever meet. We push each other to be the best we can be, and we have fun in the process.

OTHER DETAILS:

All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, age, physical disability, or length of time spent unemployed. Compensation and benefits are competitive. The position is fulltime, in our dog-friendly building, in Seattle, WA.

TO APPLY:

Please send resume and cover letter to [email protected]. Please include “EVENTS” in the subject line. No phone calls please.
