The Washington Conservation Corps (WCC) works year-round to protect and enhance Washington’s natural resources. Our location as the WCC is sponsored by the King County Dept. of Natural Resources and Parks (DNRP). The four King County DNRP crews work on a variety of projects on our rivers, streams, and wetlands. Learn about native plants, invasive weeds, salmon habitat, wetlands, and how to protect and restore these natural areas. Tasks include planting of native trees and shrubs, removing invasive species, fence-building, erosion control and more!

· Open to ages 18-25 OR all ages of Gulf War era II veterans, reservists, and dependents
· Earn $9.47 an hour plus a $5,775 AmeriCorps education award after one year of work
· Gain hands-on experience, work outdoors, get training and job skills
· Work on a team to serve the community and the environment
· Learn about the environment and salmon habitat restoration

Start Date: October 3rd, 2016
End Date: September 14th, 2017
