Full-Time Tenure Track Environmental Technologies & Sustainable Practices (ETSP) Faculty.

Cascadia Community College has earned a national reputation for excellence, with an integrated learning model and more than 70% of its students moving on to four-year programs. Co-located on a campus with the University of Washington Bothell, approximately 18 miles northeast of Seattle, Cascadia is currently seeking an innovative, collaborative, and dynamic individual for the position of Full-Time Tenure Track Environmental Technologies & Sustainable Practices (ETSP) faculty.

Position Summary
Faculty will develop, teach, and assess courses and the program in Environmental Technologies and Sustainable Practices with a focus on conservation of energy, water, and other viable resources. This position in a professional/technical discipline in which the college offers an AAS-T degree. Teaching duties may include classes such as Introduction to Environmental Technology and Sustainable Practices, and the selected faculty member will teach professional/technical courses in the Environmental Technologies & Sustainable Practice program. The faculty will contribute to the development, implementation, and enhancement of Cascadia's curriculum and course of study in ETSP with a focus on conservation of energy, water and other viable resources. This will include program development at the degree, certificate, and course levels. Duties will include: advising students and collaborating with related business, other colleges, and universities to create a rich variety of educational experiences and opportunities for students. Faculty develops, teaches, and assesses courses, while assisting in the development of new courses that globalize the curriculum. Faculty provides leadership and contributes to the implementation and enhancement of Cascadia's curriculum and course of study.

The successful applicant will have the following qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications
· Master’s degree or higher in Physics, Engineering, Environmental Science,Architecture,
Urban Planning, Sustainable Development, Energy and Resources, the physical sciences,
or a related field
· Experience with non-traditional teaching methods and collaborative learning
· Demonstrated experience in globalizing the curriculum
· Experience designing innovative assessment techniques and strategies for classroom and
program assessment

Preferred Qualifications:
· Full-time or part-time teaching experience
· Coursework and/or teaching experience in applied physics, energy, alternative energy,
sustainable practices, LEED related systems work (Green Building), photovoltaic,
electricity, and/or power generation
· Program leadership experience
· Experience developing and teaching online courses and using technology to support
learning
· Demonstrated experience in facilitating the success of individuals representing a broad
range of academic, socioeconomic, cultural, ability, and ethnic backgrounds
