POSITION SUMMARY

The Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust will sponsor two Education Associates through the Washington Service Corps (WSC) AmeriCorps program. Serving with the Greenway Trust offers an opportunity to help youth make personal, positive connections with the natural world, gain teaching experience in the classroom and in the field, and gain natural resource management experience in a blend of forest and riparian ecosystems. As an integral part of our Education Program, you will help empower youth with knowledge and skills they need to become conservation leaders.

The Greenway Education Program engages 4th-12th grade students in classroom lessons, field study trips, service-learning volunteer restoration events, special events, and a paid internship for high school-aged youth. Curriculum topics include forest ecosystems, salmon, land use, and biodiversity.
