World Wildlife Fund (WWF), the global conservation organization, seeks a DIRECTOR, FOUNDATION RELATIONS, a highly accomplished and seasoned fundraising professional with a proven and successful track record in securing major gifts from foundations with a firm commitment to the goals of this mission-driven organization. The ideal candidate will be self-confident and properly assertive, decisive, energetic and motivated with a strong sense of urgency in creating solutions and strategies, a team player, friendly and approachable. This individual will be a self-driven professional with an exceptional ability to communicate mission and objectives clearly, and quickly establish rapport and high credibility throughout World Wildlife Fund, including with donors and staff members at all levels. The position will be housed in the 40-member Development Department and work out of WWF’s Washington, D.C. office.

Reporting to the Vice President, Development, this position will oversee a budget of over $700,000 and be responsible for annual revenue goals in excess of $11 million. The Director will lead WWF’s seven member Foundation Relations team in setting, managing and implementing the organization’s foundation philanthropy program. This position supports the President and CEO, as well as the Senior Vice Presidents, in all phases of cultivation, solicitation and stewardship, toward achieving WWF’s foundation fundraising goals and diversifying its base of funding support. The Director is responsible for initiating and maintaining good relationships with WWF’s Executive, Program, Marketing, Finance and Accounting Departments, other divisions of Development, in tandem with, those of its foundation donors and prospects.

The salary is competitive and compensation is based on past performance, skill and expertise. Relocation assistance will be provided if moving to the Nation’s Capitol area is required.
