Climate Change, Nuclear Power and Our Future
Growing evidence indicates that nuclear power will need to play a role in meeting the world’s increasing energy needs. Let’s put the risks of radiation from nuclear power in perspective. How much radiation do we live with all the time? Is a small amount, repeated over a long time, as deadly as a large amount? Is it safe to live next to a nuclear power plant? Bring your concerns and questions. Hear from Todd Cloutier, who has a BS in Physics, MS in Mechanical Engineering and served as a US Navy Submarine Officer for 24 years with responsibilities that included the operation and maintenance of nuclear reactors. Cloutier also trained Navy radiation workers on radiation and contamination controls.
