At this Washington Recycles Every Day (WRED) event, participants will explore the challenges and solutions to encouraging waste reduction at sporting events, festivals and community gatherings. This one-day workshop will look at the tools and educational strategies that help a varied and ever-changing population recycle at public events.
Attendees will tour the newly renovated Husky Stadium and hear from speakers including University of Washington staff, local professional sports team officials and consultants who have worked on community recycling programs at events. A networking lunch will be provided as well as adequate time for questions and discussion.
