This will be an evening event promoting local farms & local urban agriculture in Snohomish County. It is designed to:
-Support local farms & bring awareness about them to the public
-Raise awareness about Farmer Frog - a school gardening education program
-Widen the discussion about our local food system

Are you looking for a farm to purchase a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) share from this summer? Are you interested in our local food system? Would you like to meet others who are working on strengthening the resiliency of local & regional food systems?

Come meet local farmers & local food activists working for healthy, sustainable food systems in the Snohomish County area.

Speakers:
Zsofia Pasztor teaches at Edmonds Community College & is currently working with Will Allen from Growing Power developing a local urban agriculture program in Snohomish County. She is founder & president of the non-profit Farmer Frog, a school garden program helping kids learn about growing their own food & helping low-income families access fresh produce.

Jacqueline Cramer is a permaculture designer who has worked the land for over 20 years. She is a Board Member of P-Patch Trust, a founder of Friends of Beacon Food Forest, Education Coordinator of Tilth Producers of Washington & a Seattle Fruit Steward. Jacki is a instructor for Roots of Empathy & runs a gardening/landscaping business in Seattle, Design Collaborators.

Local author Vicki Robin will be signing her newly published book "Blessing the Hands that Feed Us." Vicki decided for one month to eat only food produced within a 10-mile radius of home. More about this book can be found at: http://vickirobin.com/books/blessing-the-hands-that-feed-us
