Like the First AIChE Regional Conference on Sustainability in the Pacific Northwest, the Second Conference seeks to promote environmental stewardship and awareness of sustainability through its technical and social programming. The Conference Planning Board has committed to implementing sustainable practices throughout the planning and execution phases of the Conference. These initiatives include pursuing measures to enhance energy efficiency, promote use of renewable resources, rely on recycled, compostable and recyclable products, purchase carbon offsets and reduce water consumption and waste generation at the Conference venue. The Conference Planning Board will make every effort to encourage Conference goers, sponsors and organizers to adhere to the Conference Commitment.
