Event Location:
1715 E. Olive Way

BRING A DONATION OF FOOD TO THE DECEMBER 2010 GREENDRINKS ON TUESDAY, 14 DECEMBER, AND WILL BE A BENEFIT FOR NORTHWEST HARVEST, at 1715 E Olive Way, on Capitol Hill. Don't forget to bring your own glass; compostable cups will available for a suggested donation of $5, but we (and the planet!) would prefer you brought your own!

As usual, we will be collecting a $5 suggested donation at the door that will be split between our featured non-profit and Seattle Greendrinks. Click here to plan your trip to the event using Metro's Trip Planner.

About Northwest Harvest
For 43 years, Northwest Harvest has been committed to providing both nutritious food and a voice, in a manner respecting dignity and privacy, to those in need all across our state. Northwest Harvest is the only non-profit food bank distributor operating statewide in Washington with a network of more than 300 partner food banks, meal programs and elementary schools. Two-thirds of the food they provide is fruits and vegetables, and a number of their programs help infants, toddlers and elementary school-age children. They steward donations and resources mindfully, efficiently and effectively. For example, Northwest Harvest can provide an ample meal for a family of three for only 67 cents! With your help, Northwest Harvest can continue feeding our neighbors in need!

In this time of even greater need, please bring a non-perishable food item to donate to Northwest Harvest. They especially need baby formula, baby food, diapers of all sizes and wipes. Thank you!

This Greendrinks will feature music by Gil Piger. Gil plays a combination of classic, jazz or Latin guitar, and has performed at MGM in Reno and locally at Bumbershoot, The Heritage Festival and The Herb Farm Restaurant.

As a crucial local non-profit, Northwest Harvest will itself be the highlighted non-profit at this event.

Green Lunches
Have you been to a Green Lunch yet? Join a small group of Greendrinkers for lunch on 17 December 2010 by signing up here.

Here's a huge shout-out, too, to our 2010 sponsors, The Sierra Nevada Brewing Co, Full Circle Farm, Badger Mountain Vineyard, DRY Soda, The Essential Baking Company, and Chaco Canyon Cafe! As always, the October Greendrinks will begin between 5:30 and 6pm.

Please help us reduce waste - even compostable waste - by bringing your own mugs, wine glasses, and the like. Compostable cups will be available for a $5 suggested donation.

Finally, please email info (at) seattlegreendrinks (dot) org for sponsorship information or to volunteer.
