Mountainfilm on Tour is coming to Seattle October 9th-10th, 2009. Each year, the Outdoors for All Foundation, with support from a grant from the Raynier Institute & Foundation, brings a selection of films from the international film festival to reach audiences who otherwise wouldn’t have a chance to experience the festival.

The films display themes of adventure, mountaineering, remarkable personalities and important environmental and social messages.

Watch as a blind man and an amputee ice climb Bridal Veil Falls in Colorado. Take a look at Telluride's hearty tribe of backcountry ski mountaineers. Follow 17-year old, Hari Rai, who lives in a small village in Nepal. To support himself and pay for his education, he works as a porter, carrying a Coca-Cola refrigerator through stunning landscapes. Follow a group of passionate rock climbers as they push the sport to new realms in strength, creativity and mental fortitude with outrageous ascents and over-the-top feats. These are just a few of the inspiring and pulse pounding films that might be at this year's festival at the Magnuson Park Community Theater in Seattle. Each night we will show a new set of films from the festival tour.

Visit us online to find out more information and to buy tickets. Tickets are only $10 each night and all proceeds from this event go to the Outdoors for All Foundation. The Outdoors for All Foundation provides outdoor recreation opportunities for children and adults with disabilities.
