King County Green Choice: Executive Candidates Environmental Debate

Event Date:
Tuesday, June 30, 2009 - 7:00pm - 8:30pm

RSVP: www.kingcountygreenchoice.org

This year’s race for King County Executive is heating up fast. Five candidates are running to replace Ron Sims, who was appointed by President Obama as Deputy Secretary of Housing and Urban Development. The King County Executive is an important position that has considerable impact on Washington’s environment. The next Executive will have an impact on issues such as Puget Sound restoration, transportation, land use, and much more.

Voters in King County make the environment a top priority at the ballot box, but now we have a chance to urge the candidates to make it their top priority. You can find out where candidates stand on the environment at the King County’s Green Choice Debate at Town Hall on June 30th!

So, the question is: which candidate will be the best environmental leader as the next King County Executive? We’ve put this nonpartisan campaign together with a broad range of environmental policy organizations, fair housing advocates, and environmental justice groups to help YOU decide about your choice for King County Executive.

Please join us for this debate to kick-off a summer of raising the profile of environmental issues in this important election.

Space is limited, so please RSVP: http://kingcountygreenchoice.org/index.php?page=events&view=eventdetail&...
