Future of Efficiency - Seattle

Event Date:
Monday, July 2, 2007 - 5:30pm - 7:30pm

We’re a group of young 20 and 30-somethings involved in the energy industry here in Seattle. We’ve recently started a local chapter of Future of Efficiency, a Portland-based networking and educational group for those interested and working in energy and related fields such as climate change and sustainability. The group in Portland has had considerable success in offering networking and social events, hosting well-known speakers, and conducting their own research projects related to energy and energy efficiency.

Energy efficiency has been identified as holding the greatest potential for reducing carbon emissions in the United States over the next 25 years. We believe energy efficiency will play an increasingly important role in shaping both Washington’s and our country’s energy future in the coming years. We also believe that creating a group of people interested in promoting this topic will be beneficial for our region in addressing energy and environmental issues.

Please take a look at our mission statement below and consider joining us this Monday, July 2nd to learn more about the group (see meeting details below). We hope to see you there!

Mission Statement:

The Future of Efficiency’s mission is to provide a networking and educational forum for energy professionals. By utilizing the divers expertise and leadership of its members, the group works to promote practical solutions for enhancing the role of energy efficiency and renewable energy in consumer choices, and market dynamics; and communicate how they relate to major global problems such as global climate change, peak energy, and sustainability.
