Human Relations Laboratory Open House at GreenWorks

Event Date:
Thursday, July 19, 2007 - 4:00pm - 6:00pm

Announcing A 38-year Tradition of Experiential Learning
For Business Leaders and their Staff
At this Human Relations Laboratory, you will find support to:

· Organize for empowerment. In The Fifth Discipline Field Book, Peter Senge and others suggest there can be
productive tension between autonomy and organization. Self discipline needs to replace imposed discipline.

· Create a culture of encouragement. In business, we must care for each other’s self esteem and encourage each other’s personal creativity. W. Edwards Deming changed management by forming groupings that improved the quality of product and people.

· Develop relationships that motivate. The Fifth Discipline teaches that “the single greatest learning tool in your organization is conversation.” When faced with competing commitments, few people get beyond their own defenses to productive conversation. Relationship and systems are realities—as factual as any bottom line.

The Human Relations Laboratory has long been a training environment for helping people converse realistically, practice effective team development, and learn to resolve conflict with compassion.
