The Mercer Island Farmers Market (MIFM) is a 501(c)(3) organization serving Mercer Island residents and surrounding communities since 2008. MIFM connects growers, consumers, and the Island business community to create a valuable, sustainable community asset. MIFM seeks a part-time Assistant Manager to staff Day of Market operations and support the Market in other activities during the Market season. This is an hourly contractor position at the average rate of 15 hours per week (June – November) with the potential for additional hours throughout the calendar year, to be scheduled as required.
The Resource Development Manager is responsible for identifying prospects and partnership opportunities, as well as securing sponsors, in-kind donations, advertisers, exhibitors, partners and grant opportunities to fund/support Downtown Seattle Association/Metropolitan Improvement District (DSA/MID) produced attractions, events, promotions, publications and initiatives throughout the year.
As part of broader economic development and access plan to ensure Downtown Seattle can accommodate expected growth and enhance economic vitality the DSA will form and lead a Downtown Parking Advisory Board to implement a strategic effort to integrate Downtown’s private off-street parking supply.
Commute Seattle is Downtown Seattle's Transportation Management Association (TMA), working to enhance Downtown's economic competitiveness by reducing drive-alone commuting. We envision a Downtown Seattle in which commuters are empowered to walk, bike, rideshare, or take transit to work. Our goal is to reduce the drive-alone commute rate to 30% by 2016. Commute Seattle is a 501c(4) not-for-profit, public-private partnership of the Downtown Seattle Association, King County Metro, and the City of Seattle.
