Description:
Learn to preserve the summer's bounty and stretch your grocery dollars by canning your own produce. Learn about canning equipment, how to can safely, resources for recipes and instruction and recommended tips from a pro. Demonstration of water bath canning seasonal fruit will be included in class.

Jessica Dally is an experienced instructor who teaches a variety of classes, such as cheese making, soap making and even an MSF Motorcycle instructor. She is passionate about making change and growing community.

Backyard chickens provide great-tasting, healthy, environmentally responsible eggs, plus plenty of entertainment, even in the middle of the city! Learn the basics of keeping chickens in your backyard, from biology to buildings, in this introductory workshop.

Instructor Jenifer McIntyre, a trained biologist and behavioral ecologist, has a backyard flock of her own and has taught many workshops in the past to share her enthusiasm for the topic. She will guide you through the essential topics to get you well on your way to raising some backyard chickens of your own.

General Description: Learning to make feta will give you the building blocks for making more difficult cheeses like cheddar, gouda, and brie without requiring any special equipment. Feta is easy enough for beginners to make and complicated enough to be the next step for someone wanting to expand their cheesemaking knowledge. You’ll come away with knowledge of more complicated cheeses, as well as easy recipes for mascarpone, mozzarella and gouda, and a taste of some homemade feta!
