Head to NW SolarFest to learn about and celebrate renewable energy and sustainable living. You'll find these fun activities and more:
Urban County Fair: Here is an opportunity to enter creations for competition and public display entries in sustainable living; 5 competition categories – Backyard Floral Arrangement, Container Garden (edible or ornamental) , Restyled Clothing/Wearables, Recycle/Upcycle Idea, Food Art
NW SolarFest: Renewable Energy & Sustainable Living Fair is a family fun event with exhibits, activities, food and fun. Don’t miss the KIDZone; the first 300 kids get their own free solar mini car and can race it on the track. Play at the recycled cardboard “arcade”. Enjoy water fun at the solar fountains. And don’t miss CASPAR BABYPANTS on the main stage at 11 am.
This FREE event is Saturday, July 27, 10am-6om at Shoreline Community College with the beer garden and the live music continuing until 8 pm.

FREE Kick off Event with special guest NW photographer Chris Jordon
Featuring a silent Auction, appetizers and no host bar
Friday night, the Fair features a special Kick-Off event. The keynote speaker is Chris Jordon, the Seattle-based internationally acclaimed photographic artist whose work explores the detritus of American mass culture. Live and silent auction proceeds will go to offset costs of SolarFest and will benefit Shoreline Solar Project.
