Join the Washington State Recycling Association (WSRA) for their last Washington Recycles Every Day (WRED) event of the summer!
Inspired by America Recycles Day, WSRA hosts four to five one-day WRED events per year, bringing professionals from all over Washington State together for discussion of recycling issues and behind the scenes tours of working facilities and technology demonstrations. These events typically involve a full day of activities including expert panel presentations, a catered lunch, facility tours and time for networking.
At this Washington Recycles Every Day (WRED) event, participants will explore the challenges and solutions to encouraging waste reduction at sporting events, festivals and community gatherings. This one-day workshop will look at the tools and educational strategies that help a varied and ever-changing population recycle at public events.
At a time when global recycling markets are in flux, the market for textiles is growing and adapting to new reuse opportunities. Join WSRA for a behind-the-scenes look at how unwanted textiles move from drop-off collection sites to new homes and new products in neighborhoods around the world.
At this Washington Recycles Every Day (WRED) event, participants will learn from topic experts from every facet of the textile recovery, reuse, retail and recycling marketplace and tour Seattle Goodwill’s new Job Training and Education Center and main processing center, and Buffalo Industries.
