The Pacific Northwest Permaculture Convergence, an annual weekend-long event celebrating creative, sustainable living, will be held October 7-9, 2016, at Fort Flagler State Park on Marrowstone Island, near scenic Port Townsend, Washington. Keynote speakers include fungi researcher and visionary Paul Stamets, the founder of Fungi Perfecti; Pandora Thomas, earth and social justice advocate and founder of the Black Permaculture Network; and long-time permaculture practitioner and educator, Michael Pilarski.
There's a biochar workshop on April 27-28 from 9-4:00 in Woodinville. It only costs $35, and you'll get to take home a biochar stove of your own which can be used on your farm. The flyer is attached.
It is hosted at Morethana Farm which is located in Woodinville next to 21 Acres. The farm is co-leased by Antioch University, Pacific Bamboo Resources, and SeaChar, and the goal of the farm is to become a permaculture education center.
This workshop is made possible by a grant to Antioch given by Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, Inc.
