Seattle Tilth is offering exciting camps throughout the summer where kids 1-14 years old can explore the fascinating world of insects, plants and flowers, while learning how to work together to grow a vibrant garden. Fun themes rotate each session that engage all of the senses such as Critter Crazy!, Ladybug Picnic, Slimy Creatures, Flower Mania and Mad Garden Science. Designed for maximum fun and learning, typical sessions include garden adventures, edible plant tasting, a garden craft, stories, games and songs.

Second Chance Edible Plant Sale

Seattle Tilth has 8,000 locally grown organic veggie plants and sustainably grown culinary herbs and edible flowers available this Friday, 4-7 p.m. in Seattle's Wallingford neighborhood. Just in time for Mothers Day, you can buy wonderful edible plants $2 each with discounts for volume purchases on the south side of the Good Shepherd Center. The selection is based on what was left from last weekend's huge Edible Plant Sale.

This day of action recognizes and celebrates the elements that go into creating a sustainable and secure community food system. By creating a space for the community to come together to address hunger and food security in Seattle we open dialogue and increase awareness. More than this, our community gains a sense of ownership and empowerment surrounding these topics.
