GREEN EXHIBITORS WELCOME Seattle Unity Earth Care Team is hosting an Environmental Fair and Brunch Sunday, April 21 at 12:30pm.  Highlights are a speaker on food production and demonstration of bicycle maintenance. Tables are available to green/sustainable/environmental groups for materials and spokespersons.  Locally sourced and organic foods are featured on the $12 brunch menu. The Society for Ecological Restoration – Northwest Chapter will be celebrating its 20th Anniversary on Friday, March 1, 2013 at the Mountaineers Program Center in Seattle. Jerry Franklin will be one of the featured speakers to discuss restoration accomplishments and challenges in the last twenty years and what the next twenty years of restoration may bring. There will be live music, local food and refreshments, plus special recognitions for our founding members.

This year we are excited that our instructors are Brenda Guiberson, David George Gordon, and David Montgomery. They bring years of experience as writers, researchers, and teachers. Each is an attentive observer who weaves together history, science, and field time into well-crafted, thought-provoking writing about the natural and cultural world.
