Nearly 97% of climate scientists agree that human activities are warming Earth’s climate, and the Pentagon considers the consequences to be a threat to national security. What are we doing about it?
As the economic challenges of climate change are gradually appearing, some sectors are opening up to
the role they can play in supporting public health, food security, environmental sustainability, and
energy development. Seattle AWIS and ACS Puget Sound invite you to join a guided panel discussion on

The Puget Sound is a shared resource. It is rooted in our health, community, culture, and livelihoods. We all have a stake in protecting it. At this introduction, we will share what we do to protect and preserve Puget Sound and explain what you can do to join us. We will train you to identify and document illegal pollution, explain how to join an on-the-water patrol or organize a shoreline cleanup, empower you to become a policy advocate, and show you how to get involved in a multitude of other ways. Snacks provided!
