NW Garden of Eden. The Duwamish traditional calendar is tied to the abundant resources that are available at different times throughout the year. The months are often named after the most abundant resources available at that time. The concepts of seasonality and sustainability are part of this traditional system.
Earth Day at the Duwamish Longhouse. Chief Seattle speaks to our times, "Every part of this earth is sacred to these my people." 11-4pm. Free admission & parking.
