Join the Friends of Rainier Beach Urban Farm and Wetlands, Seattle Tilth, and Seattle Parks Foundation at a BBQ dinner in support of the farm. As we prepare to break ground this fall to expand facilities and programs, we invite community members to come together and celebrate this special place.
Seattle Tilth’s Community Kitchens Northwest will be preparing a festive BBQ dinner featuring fresh produce from the farm. Attendees will also enjoy music and entertainment.
NWxSE is an all-day festival and celebration of food, farms, music, crafts, and community. We'll spend the day playing, dancing, sipping on sweet tea, learning about sustainable design, enjoying a Southern-inspired feast, and supporting Eat for Equity Seattle, a local non-profit, so we can continue to eat, drink, do good, and be merry.
The award-winning Portland State Chamber Choir makes its only Seattle appearance at Seattle First Baptist (1111 Harvard Avenue, Seattle, WA 98122) on Pride afternoon, June 29th at 4 pm. They will sing pieces ranging from the Baroque to contemporary works and spirituals by both gay and straight composers. Last year, the PSCC was the first American choir in 52 years to win first place in the international Seghizzi competition in Italy, and next month will represent the USA at the Kathaumixw Competition, Canada.
