We hold volunteer work parties on the first Saturday of every month! Come to the Maple School Natural Area to help remove invasives from 10-1 and then stay for the potluck immediately following the event. Wear sturdy shoes and dress for the weather, gloves and tools will be provided. We meet at the entrance located at the top of the stairs at 20th Ave. S and S Lucile St.

The Potluck is at 1pm, directly following the event, so please bring a dish to share. If you would like to know more about or efforts or just live in the area please feel free to come by the potluck and talk to us!

Learn the skills your grandparents knew! Come to a fun day of FREE, hands-on workshops teaching useful DIY skills! Classes include instruction on bread baking, pruning, bike repair, growing veggies, canning, tool use, soap making, the art of conversation, biochar stoves, home electrical repair, kid's cooking, clothes repurposing, tai chi and much more! Sustainable NESeattle is organizing this event in partnership with Ravenna Eckstein and Meadowbrook Community Centers. Join us at the end of the day for a potluck and square dance with live music by The Tall Boys!
